Mr. Clayton Junior Carter, 81 of Athens, AL died Friday, January 11, 2019 at his Residence.

He was born February 4, 1937 in Limestone Co. AL to Carl & Laura Carter. Mr. Carter was a member of the Graceful Gospel Church, a retired Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife: Retha Carter, Parents, Brothers: Clyde & Gene Carter.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, 2 PM at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Colwell & Brad Broadway officiating. Burial will be in the Copeland Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 12 Noon until service time.

Survivors include, Daughter: Faye Carlisle of Lacey Springs, AL, Brothers: James Carter of Ardmore, TN, Calvin Carter of Elkmont, AL, Billy Joe Carter of Madison, AL Sisters: Pat Ussery of Athens, AL, Linda Clemons of Athens, AL, 2 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter, Several Nieces & Nephews.
