Charlotte Adams Carter, age 78, of
Tanner died July 6, 2026 at her home. She was born March 16, 1948 in Limestone
County to George Thomas Adams and Nancy Pearl Hall. Ms. Carter is survived by
her daughter, Teresa McCrary of Anderson, son, Keith Carter of Somerville, four
grandchildren, three great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
sisters, Kathleen Gee and Linda Kyle, brothers, Thomas Adams, Billy Adams,
Gilbert Adams, and Bobby Adams.
There will be a visitation Friday,
July 10, 2026 from 12:00 noon until service time at Spry Funeral Home of
Athens. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Spry Chapel officiated
by Charles Simmons. Interment will be at Bottoms Cemetery in Athens. Family and
friends to serve as pallbearers.
