Phillip Wayne Daws, age 63 of Athens died Tuesday at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville. Mr. Daws was born November 2, 1954 in Limestone County.

Phil was a ordained Baptist minister, Was the founding Pastor of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. Avid musician, beloved Daddy and Grandfather. Phil loved people of every walk of life. 

Services will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church, with Dusty McLemore, Jamie Nettles, and Chase Daws officiating. Visitation 12 noon until service time Saturday at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church, burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Daws is survived by his Parents, D.W. and Maxine Daws of Athens. Daughter, Shana (Logan) Moffatt of Argyle, Texas. Son, Chase (Holly) Daws of Berkley, California. Grandchildren, Ellis Marie Shubert, Avery Mason Shubert, Isabella Grace Moffatt, and Gabriel Daws. Brother, Kevin (Monica) Daws of Athens, Sister, Karen Daws of Athens. Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Mr. Daws was preceded in death by, Brother, Joey Daws an Nephew, Corey McBay.
