Helen Mae Bolling Evans passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Athens Limestone Hospital.

Mrs. Evans was born January 12, 1936 to Wesley Jackson Bolling and Pearl Haynes Bolling in Columbus, Mississippi. The family moved to Birmingham, Alabama when she was five and she attended Jefferson County schools. She moved to Athens, Alabama in 1964, met and married William Ellis Evans in 1970. She was employed at Premier Structures, Inc. for 26 years and served as Secretary/Treasurer; then owner in 2006 after the death of her husband, she retired 2012 and sold the business in early 2013.

Mrs. Evans was a Charter Member of Women in Construction-Birmingham Chapter; had served on the North Alabama Better Business Bureau Board and Foundation on Aging Board; member of Canebrake Club; Architectural Review Board Summit Lakes HOA; former Active Member of Southside Baptist Church and now is a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Helen was known to all employees and friends as Ms. Helen. She was very loving, caring and a giving lady. She never forgot a Birthday nor and Anniversary, sending cards to all her church family, family members and friends. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. She had many little friends that she adored. She was an avid Auburn Fan and she always stated if she was ever cut, she would bleed Orange and Blue!!!

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Evans, brothers, Billy Bolling, Tommy Bolling, Burton Bolling, James Bolling and Jere Davis, sister, Ann Bolling Paulin. She is survived by daughter, whom she loved and adored, Cynthia Evans Glass and husband Curtis, of Athens; step-granddaughter: Ava Glass, Step-grandson, Jackson Glass, brother, John Bolling and wife Carol of Woodville, Washington; very special nieces Kelly Brandy of Woodstock, AL, Paula Phillips of Athens, AL. and Debi Keller of Bothell, Washington and many other nieces and nephews in the Bolling and Evans family who she loved deeply.

Services will be 3pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Joey Thompson and Greg Lauderback officiating, burial in Roselawn Cemetery, visitation is from 1pm until service Friday at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Matt Homan, John Thompson, Anthony Blackwood, DeWayne Uselton, Heath Hartley, Dan Mankins, Pete Franks.

Honorary Pallbearers: Noah Blackwood, Reid Homan, Cody Scott, Trey Evans, Cody Mach, Andrew Uselton.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County, Athens Hospital Foundation or Saint Jude or any of your choices.
