William Ernest “Ernie” Ford, 83 of Athens, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his residence.

There will be a 3PM Graveside Service Sunday at Roselawn Cemetery with Larry Hicks and Joel Carwile officiating, Spry Funeral is directing.

No visitation planned.

Mr. Ford was born July 26, 1934 in Evarts, Kentucky, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Athens Lions Club and a member of Limestone County Democrat Club.

Survivors: Wife of 50 years: Judy Ford of Athens, Son: Blake Ford of Athens, Daughter: Amanda Ford of Athens, Brothers: Jerry Ford of Marshall, Michigan, Charles Ford of Tazwell, Tennessee and Jamie Ford of Atlanta, Georgia, Sisters: Mary Lou Miller of Pascagoula, Mississippi and Phyllis Johnson of New Salem, Indiana, several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by Parents: Harvey and Ida Mae Ford, Brother: Lee Ford.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Athens or Athens Lions Club.
