Roland Earl Hazelwood, age 90 of Athens died Friday at his residence. Mr. Hazelwood was born November 3, 1927 in Elora, Tennessee.

He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of Salem Springs Baptist Church, and retired from J&J Oil Company.

Services will be 1 pm Thursday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Kip McKee officiating, burial in New Salem Cemetery.

Visitation Wednesday evening from 6-9 pm at Spry Funeral Home. 

Survivors include, Daughter, Melinda Kerr of Huntsville. Grandchildren, Kristin Poor, Lauren Poor, Ian Kerr, Anna Green. Great Grandchildren, Ellis Green, and Nolan Green. Brother, Dena Hazelwood of Estill Springs, Tennessee. Sister, Evelyn Bennett of Murfressboro, Tennessee. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Hazelwood was preceded in death by, Wife, Mable Hazelwood. Daughter, Connie Poor.
