Linda Watson Hicks, 72 of Athens died Friday at her residence.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5-9 pm at Spry Funeral Home. Services, 11 am Monday February 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Spry Funeral Home, Joel Carwile, Joe Teal, Tim Anderson officiating, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks was born January 26, 1946 in Giles County, Tennessee, she was a member of First Baptist Church Athens, the Senior Adult Choir, Keenagers, WMU, retired from Athens City Board of Education and she was a Master Gardner.

Survivors: Husband: Larry G. Hicks of Athens, Daughter: Susan Hicks Killen and husband Thomas of Athens, Son: Wayne Hicks and wife Debbie of Alexander City, Alabama, Grandchildren: Christopher Hicks of Florence, Lauren Hicks of Alexander City, Alabama, Alex Killen of Athens, Sister-in-Laws: Elaine Watson of Athens, Sherry Anderson and husband Tim of Athens, Brother-in-Law: Chris Hicks and wife Debbie of Opelika, Alabama.

Preceded in death by: Father: Howard Watson, Mother: Nelcie Watson, Brother: J.W. Watson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Alabama, Athens City Schools Foundation, Huntsville Botanical Gardens or First Baptist Church WMU.
