Mrs. Katie Mae Hovis, age 96 of Athens, died Tuesday at her residence.

Services will 11am Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Teal officiating, burial in Athens City Cemetery, visitation is from 6-8pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hovis was born March 3, 1921 in Limestone County, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens and she was retired from the Chamber of Commerce in Athens.

Survivors: Daughter-in-Law: Cathy Hovis; Grandchildren: Michael Wayne Hovis, Daniel Gordon Hovis, Aaron Christopher Hovis and Jason Partrick; Several Great-Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by Husband: Milton R. Hovis; Sons: Kenneth Milton Hovis, Edgar Riley Hovis; Brother: William Vinson; Sister: Corean Shealy.
