David Wilson Kidd, age 79 of Athens died Thursday at his residence.

Mr. Kidd was born October 30, 1939 in Limestone County, was a member of Seven Mile Post Road church of Christ, and was retired from Lynn Layton of Decatur.

Graveside service will be 4 pm Monday at Dement Cemetery with Dwight Ridinger officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm at Spry Funeral Home. 

Survivors include, Wife, Carolyn Smith Kidd of Athens. Sons; Damion Kidd of Eva. Michael Hill of Athens. Scott Hill of Columbia, Tennessee. Daughters, Milla Carter of Cullman. Sandy Colwell of Athens. Rebecca Patton of Athens. Eight Grandchildren. Several Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by, Parents, Vernon and Mable Kidd. Sister, Brenda Kidd.
