Margaret Cecilia Gurney, 83 of Athens, Alabama, died Tuesday at her residence.
Mrs. Gurney was born January 28, 1936 in Pennsylvania.
A Memorial Service will be held later.

My prayers go out for Larry, his family, and friends.
My association with Larry goes back to the 1970's during my tenure at the Florence Police Department. Many was the time when we met at traffic accidents or crime scenes and I placed the victims into his highly capable hands. Thanks for your service Larry, and Godspeed.
