Marjorie Ellen King, age 95, of Athens
died September 25, 2026 at her home. She was born October 8, 1930 in Limestone
County. Mrs. King was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Johnnie
Edward King (Venalyn) of Decatur and James Earl King (Rose) of Elkmont,
daughter, Joyce Ellen King Norwood of Athens, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four
great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces
and nephews.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her
parents, Charles and Viola Roberts, husband, Earl Edward King, sisters, Mae
Anderson and Gertha Sims, brothers, Charles Roberts, Milton Roberts and Joe
Roberts, and son-in-law, Milton Edward Norwood.
Visitation will be Monday, September
28th from 12:00 noon until service time at Spry Funeral Home of Athens.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday the 28th in the Spry Chapel officiated by
Ross Clemmons. Interment to follow at Myers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and
great grandsons.
