Vada Nell Barksdale age 97 of Athens passed away Saturday at
Athens Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Barksdale was born August 18, 1929 in
Limestone County, she was a homemaker and a member of Market Street church of
Christ.
Survivors include her Sons, Daniel Lincoln (Nancy) Barksdale
and Garry Winston Barksdale. Grandchildren, Danielle Barksdale (Lee) Talbert
and Morgan Suzanne (Bryan Radcliffe) Barksdale. Great Grandchildren, Whitley
Elizabeth Talbert, Wesley Daniel Talbert and Benjamin Lincoln Radcliffe.
Sister, Jean Jackson. Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by
her husband, French Lincoln Barksdale.
Services will be 2:30 pm Tuesday in the
chapel of Spry Funeral Home with David Cox officiating. Visitation will be
Tuesday from 12;30 pm until service time. Burial will follow at Roselawn
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Elmore, Roger Elmore, Phil Jones, Tony
Sexton, Lee Talbert and Wesley Talbert. Family ask memorials to be made to,
Make Away Foundation or Market Street church of Christ.
