Donna Rea (Birdwell) Richardson, 64 of Athens, Alabama passed away in Rogersville, Alabama Thursday, November 18, 2010. Funeral service will be Saturday November 20, 2010 at 1pm at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Klein and Bill Hall offficiating. Burial in the Wallace Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday November 19 from 6-9 at Spry Funeral Home.
Born April 27, 1946 in Lauderdale County, she was a member of the New Georgia Church of Christ in Anderson, AL. She was a homemaker. She was a selfless and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose top priority in life was living for the Lord and influencing her family to do the same. She had a passion for learning new skills and her hobbies included reading, sewing and traveling. She was a truly virtuous women who spent many long hours working tirelessly sewing her childrens clothes, vegetable gardening and creating a neat loving and hospitable Christian Home.
She is preceded in death by her parents Byron Birdwell and Elaine Birdwell Peden.

Born March 15, 1941 in Lauderdale County, a member of First Baptist Church, Retired USDA Inspector and also Alabama National Guard.

Opal Ellareee Fleming Britton, 89 of Athens passed away Thursday November 18 at Limestone Health Facility.
Visitation will be at Spry Funeral Home in Athens from noon from 2:30 on Sunday, November 21. A graveside service will follow at 3pm at Valley View Cemetery on US 72 with Randy Baker officiating.
Born June 29, 1921 in Lauderdale County, Mrs. Britton was the daughter of the late Arthur Fleming and Addie Eubanks Fleming. She attended Cedar Grove Church of Christ.
Survivors include daugher and son-in-law Cathy and Craig Beasley of Athens, grandson Johnny Bates and his wife Pam of Athens, granddaughters Tammy Moss and her husband Randy and Paula Hnad and her husband Jeromey all of Athens, daughter-in-law Shirely Britton, nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, sisters Othell Gilchrist of Florence and Dorothy Mae Johns of Rogersville, and brother Ollis Fleming of St. Joseph, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband Brodia B. Britton, her daughter Annette Britton Bates, her son James Dalton Britton, her grandson Jimmy Bates, her brother Ciellon Fleming, and a sister Odell White.
Pallbearers will be Randy Moss, Jeromey Hand, Jonathan Bates, Logan Bates, Matt Looney, and Corey Looney.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Limestone County Council on Aging at 912 West Pryor Street Athens, AL 35611 or Hospice of Limestone County at P. O. Box 626 Athens, AL 35612 or the Athens-Limestone Public Library Foundation at 405 East South Street Athens, AL 35611.
The family appreciates the professional and compassionate care give by the staff at the Limestone Health Facility and the support and companionship provided by the staff and residents of Limestone Manor. The family is also grateful for the medical care provided by Ashley Wise and the personnel at MedWest and by Dr. Zia Hassan.
