Robert Alfred Whitworth Jr., 94 of Athens, died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Whitworth was born August 26, 1924 in Limestone County, he was a World War II Army Veteran and he was retired from D.A.B. Industries.

Services will be 2pm Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Standridge officiating, burial in Roselawn Cemetery, visitation is from 12noon until service Saturday at Spry Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Waylon Harris, Patrick Sheehan, Wade Whitworth, Joe Whitworth, Colin Whitworth, Nathan Pinkerton, Brennon Levi Rose.

Survivors: Wife: Hilda Whitworth of Athens, Sons: Robert Gerry Whitworth of Athens, Rickey Whitworth and wife Peggy of Athens, Daughter: Sandra Rose of Athens, Grandchildren: Wade Whitworth, Suzette Harris, Pam Whitworth, Joe Whitworth, Colin Whitworth, Brandy Keaton, Beth Sheehan, Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Ten Great Great Grandchildren, Sister: Lucille Bailey of Rome, GA, several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by Parents: Robert Alfred Whitworth Sr. and Ethel Ann Whitworth, Brothers: Wesley Whitworth, Jerry Whitworth, Sisters: Gladys Vasser, Pat Lentz. Grandsons: Benjamin Whitworth, Paul Edward Rose, Great Grandson: Neil Pinkerton, Son-in-Law: Jack Rose.
