Emma Ruth Keith Marshall Jones, 89
April 30, 1932 - November 10,2021
Ruth retired as Limestone County School Board bus driver, owner of Chatterbox Beauty Salon and founding member of the Clements Baptist Church. She was involved in her church, enjoyed spending time working with the Carpenters for Christ, and known for her famous fried apple pies.
She is preceded in death by husband, Marion L Marshall (1960); infant daughter Brenda Marshall; sons Randall L Marshall and Terry Marshall; grandsons Billy Perry, Brian Bocking and Chad Jones; granddaughter, Harmony Teri Marshall; parents, Edgar and Stella Keith; brothers, June, Clyde, Bill, and Wilborn Keith; sisters, Dorothy Keith, Myrtle Moran, Betty Chesser, and Margaret Marshall; and son-in-law, Amos D. Alley III,. She was the caregiver to Bob Cheatam for 16 years and brother-in-law L.C. Jones for 7 years.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Hermas L. Jones; brother, Alton Keith (Dot); daughters, Sarah Marshall Hilliard (Ken), Debra Marshall Alley, and Debra Jones Wintermute; her son, David Jones (Chris); grandchildren, Brent Marshall (Jacquelyn), Aaron Marshall, Emma Marshall, Jeremy Marshall, Craig Bocking (Rachel), Teresa Perry Hand (Bobby) Duresa Perry Newton (Trey), Josh Jones, Aaron Jones (Autumn). Caleb Jones, Casey Jones, Shelby Wintermute Gaul (Patrick), and Shannon Wintermute White (Jarud), 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, church family and close friends.
A special thanks to Sarah and Ken Hilliard and the Hospice of Limestone County for their tireless caregiving. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Hospice of Limestone County or Lewy Body Dementia Association.
Visitation will be
November 12, 2021 4:00pm - 6pm
Clements Baptist Church, Hwy 72 West Athens, AL
MASK ARE REQUIRED
There will be a Private Graveside Service

So sorry to hear of your dads passing . He was such a sweet and witty man and I really enjoyed carrying Dad to visit with him when I could. Those two will be missed greatly by all of us. I can only imagine they have been reunited with their parents and brothers looking down on us and waiting for the day we can join them again. God Bless you and your family
