Mr. McAllister was born January 22, 1939 in Athens, Alabama to Horace Leslie McAllister and Sarah Elizabeth Stewart McAllister. Preceded in death by: Parents; Brother: Bobby Joe McAllister.
Survived by: Wife of 62 years: Frances Carolyn “Chuck” Sandlin McAllister; Aunt: Emmalice Stewart Patrick of Rogersville, AL; Brothers: Jackie Leslie McAllister, Lewis Harold McAllister both of Athens; Sister: Jean McAllister Clark of Athens; Son: George Michael “Mike” (Patricia) McAllister of Hayden, AL; Daughter: Monica McAllister (Hollis) Powers of Athens; Granddaughter: Jessica Schraud (Dustin) of Meridian, MS, Lacie Butner (Alan) Welborn of Hayden, AL; Grandson: Brett A. (Misty Kerstetter) Powers of Charleston, SC; Granddaughter: McKenna Grace Powers of Athens; Seven Great Grandchildren: Jonah, Ruth Ann, Amos & Mary Schraud of Meridian, MS., Blakely, Bentley & Knox Welborn of Hayden, AL.
Mr. McAllister retired from Monsanto Chemical Novacur Polystyrene Co. after 35 years of service. He was an Avid Woodworker. Dedicated Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father & Grandfather.
