J. C. Cantrell, 87 of Athens, Alabama, died Friday, April 26, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Cantrell was born February 2, 1937 in Limestone County, he was a member of Isom’s Chapel United Methodist Church and he was a retired Carpenter.

There will be a 4PM Graveside Service Sunday at Isom’s Chapel Cemetery with Carol Carter and Rick Cantrell officiating.

Visitation is 2:30pm until 3:30pm at Spry Funeral Home in Athens.

Pallbearers will be Barry Turner, Matthew Turner, Josh Webster, Jakob Franklin, Dana Watkins and Dillyn Ensminger.

Survivors: Daughters, Linda Mills of Athens, Janie Webster of Athens and Tammy Turner of Athens. Seven Grandchildren. Nine Great Grandchildren. One Great Great Grandchild. Brother, Henry Cantrell of Athens. Sister, Nancy Watkins of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Jim and Avo Cantrell. Wife, Ruby Cantrell. Son, Dennis Cantrell.
