Bettye Faye Rice age 85 of  Athens passed away Friday at her residence.

Mrs. Rice was born April 16, 1938 in Limestone County to the late Elmer and Inez Putman. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, and a member of 1st Church in Athens.

Services will be 2 pm Thursday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Rick Craft and Justin Blankenship officiating, burial in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9 pm at Spry Funeral Home.

Survivors include her Daughters, Sebrena Hamilton of Athens. Susie (Whit) Satterfield of Athens. Son, Shane (Sonya) Rice of Elkmont. Grandchildren, Brandy (Brandon) Starnes of Athens. Amber (Trey) Peck of Rogersville. Whitney Jarrett of Miami, Florida. Casey (Mary Francis) Rice of Athens. Seth McAdams of Athens. Katie Satterfield of Athens. Payten (Allie) Satterfield of Scottsboro, Alabama. Sisters, Barbara Bennett, Marsha Putman, Kay Rice, Zebbra Green all of Athens. Brother, Dale Putman of Athens.

Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her Husband, Roger Rice and six Sisters.
