Larry Ashford Long age 77 of Athens passed away Wednesday at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Long was born September 30, 1947 in Limestone County, he was a retired welder and a member of Berea Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Marie Long of Athens. Daughter, Sandra Carol Long Dorning of Athens. Sons, Larry Michael Long of Lester. Scotty Ray Long of Athens. Grandchildren, Morgan Norton, Meredith Davis, Jaclyn Downs, Braden Long, Audrey Long, Jackson Long and Lahna Long. Great Grandchildren, Harrison Norton, Jaxton Davis and Draco Long. Sisters, Betty Norman and Lucy Norman both of Athens. Several Nieces and Nephews. Services will be 4:30 pm Saturday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Brent Logan officiating. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:30 until service time. Family and friends will be pallbearers.
