Mrs. Mabel Rose Jenkins Wilbanks, 98 of Athens, Alabama died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Wilbanks was born May 25, 1922 in Limestone County. She was a member of Mt. Charmel Church of Christ and she was retired from Athens Lingerie.

There will be a 2pm Graveside Service Friday at Dement Cemetery with Odis Duncan officiating. Spry Funeral Home, Athens is directing.

Pallbearers will be Brian Holt, Tommy Joe Boyd, Cody Holder, Lucas Wilbanks, William Hagewood, Jon Ellison, Logan McWhirter and Chase Crowson.

Survivors: Children, Charlene Boyd, Terry Jo Holder, David Wilbanks (Jan) and Ginger Gordon. Grandchildren, Daphne J. Ellison, Brian Holt, Tommy Joe Boyd, Cody Holder, Mary Frances Hagewood, Lucas Wilbanks, Brittany Crowson, Amberly McWhirter and Elizabeth Hughes. Great Grandchildren, Audrey Kilpatrick, Abby Ellison, Presley and Ethan Holt, Scarlett and Sierra Taylor, Meredith Boyd, Banks Holder, Max and Madeline Hagewood, Jeanna and Jace Johnson, Ensley Crowson, Mia McWhirter, Elijah and Amelia Hughes. Sister: Lella Hamilton.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Milton and Clarice Haney Jenkins. Husband, Charlie Waites Wilbanks. Siblings, Lucille Gordon, Bessie Batts, Hilda Jenkins, Twilia Sandlin and James Jenkins. Great-Grandchildren, Jackson and Natallie Holt.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mable Rose. She was such a beautiful, graceful, God loving woman and she will be missed. I just found out about her passing today, Dec. 13th. I am sending out many prayers and much love to all of you, her family. Rest in Peace, Mable Rose. Mother will be waiting to give you a big hug.
