Victor Dale Wood, 64 of Athens, Alabama, died Friday,
April 23, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Wood was born February 23, 1957 in
Whitehouse, Ohio, he grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. He was a member of the Catholic
Church and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Wood was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.
There will be a 2pm Graveside Service Monday at Hatchett Cemetery, no
visitation is planned. Spry Funeral Home in Athens is directing. Randy Evers is
officiating.
Pallbearers
will be James Reed, Brandon Osbourne, Brandon Smith, Kieffer Compton, James
Reed Jr. and Jay Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers are Shannon McBay and Anthony
Caldwell.
Survivors: Wife, Kimberly Wood of Athens. Father, Richard (Donna)
Walp of California. Mother, Dodie Wood of Falkville, AL. Daughter, Patrisha
(Kieffer) Compton of Lewisburg, TN. Brother, Richard Walp of California.
Sister, Chandra Streit of Florida. Also survived by his In-laws, Nieces and
Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Brother, Michael Wood.
